Show me your story -- or mailer, or manual -- and I’ll polish it until it gleams. Maybe you need a trustworthy copy editor: I’ll never allow you to commit the literary equivalent of toilet paper on your shoe. Grammar, usage, punctuation, wanderings into alien tenses -- I promise you clean copy and clarity.
If your manuscript needs more structure, tighter focus and fresh content, I’ll show you new directions and stronger shape -- true hands-on editorial direction. We’ll work together in an atmosphere of respect, collaboration and discipline. I’m goal oriented, and promise that you’ll never miss a deadline. There’s a good chance that we’ll have fun.

For 2-1/2 years I served as Editorial Director of the Daily Gullet, the literary magazine of the eGullet Society for Culinary Arts and Letters. During my tenure not only did I work with publishers to present excerpts from the most distinguished contemporary print food writing, I developed a cadre of in-house writers. Three of these writer’s stories have appeared in the “Best Food Writing” series.
Don’t take my word for it: I can provide recommendations on request.
